ABOUT THE OWNER
With over 15 years of experience as a registered nurse—14 of those dedicated to obstetrics—I bring a deep understanding of birth from both the clinical and personal sides. For the past 5 years, I’ve taught independent childbirth classes, combining evidence-based knowledge with real-world insight. I’m the author and copyright holder of a comprehensive birth education curriculum, specifically designed to boost confidence, increase birth satisfaction, and help reduce the risk of traumatic birth experiences.
As a mother of five, I’ve personally experienced both medicated and unmedicated births, giving me a balanced, compassionate approach to supporting all birthing preferences. My wide-ranging hospital experience has fueled my passion for education centered on advocacy, informed decision-making, and self-empowerment during birth. My mission is to equip families with the tools they need to approach birth feeling capable, supported, and strong.
WHAT PROVIDERS ARE SAYING
Childbirth education is a necessary offering for all pregnant people to have access to prior to labor and birth. An increase in positive birth outcomes and a decrease in lasting birth trauma occurs when we provide service to pregnant people and their families with choice, knowledge, and empowerment.
My colleague, Jessica, has an innate drive for providing personable and practical childbirth education in our local community and holds a bigger vision for providing education to areas in maternity care currently not offering this essential service. Her desire to improve maternal outcomes and satisfaction through education is undeniable; Having seen our local community increase in rates of unmedicated vaginal birth and patient satisfaction is directly correlated to our patient-centered care model, which includes Jessica’s initiative for antenatal childbirth education.
