We were able to ask as many questions as we needed to and she even spent extra time with us to provide instruction on how to execute proper counter pressure during labor as well as other things my husband could do to support me during the labor process.”

My husband and I are both first time parents expecting our boy in April, we took both the birthing class as well as the postpartum class with Jessica. Going into these classes we weren’t sure what to expect as this is our first time for all of this but we left both classes more confident now that we have more knowledge in these areas thanks to Jessica and her interactive and informative classes!

“I have taken this class for two of my three pregnancies. The information was so helpful and empowering, I felt so confident going into the births. Because of the information and help aids from the class I was able to communicate well with my husband, nurses and doctors. I was able to develop a plan with my husband before going into the hospital that we were both confident in. Even when there were complications with my births we were still able to communicate our wishes and needs because of the confidence we gained in this class. I would highly recommend taking this class for every pregnancy.”

Childbirth education is a necessary offering for all pregnant people to have access to prior to labor and birth. An increase in positive birth outcomes and a decrease in lasting birth trauma occurs when we provide service to pregnant people and their families with choice, knowledge, and empowerment.
My colleague, Jessica, has an innate drive for providing personable and practical childbirth education in our local community and holds a bigger vision for providing education to areas in maternity care currently not offering this essential service. Her desire to improve maternal outcomes and satisfaction through education is undeniable; Having seen our local community increase in rates of unmedicated vaginal birth and patient satisfaction is directly correlated to our patient-centered care model, which includes Jessica’s initiative for antenatal childbirth education.

Jessica has been teaching childbirth education classes for me for 5 years now. All of my "Mamas- to-Be" love the class.
